I can't drive 55

From Cole:

What do the Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar, and the clempson tiger basketball team have in common? 55. Hagar hit it big with "I can't drive 55," while the tiger basketball team has lost 55, count em 55 straight times at UNC. The magnitude of this should not be underestimated, as the tigers have brought some mighty talented teams into the DeanDome over the years. Coach Brad Brownell has the team playing very well lately, but they could not overcome the large gorilla on their back. Maybe next year? Where have I heard that before?

Should be a good recruiting week for the Gamecock football team. High School teammates Marcquis Roberts and Rory Anderson got the momentum going moments ago with their dual announcement. The New Jersey pipeline built by coach G.A. Mangus will hopefully add two more travelers tomorrow. This all leads up to the biggest weekend of the year for official visits. Recruiting is definitely looking good.

The huge road win for the Fighting Gamecocks at Florida should pay dividends for years to come. The young Gamecocks have appeared to be a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde squad thus far, and this is to be expected for such a young team. A road win ignites confidence and gives the team something to build on, especially since they survived the big Gator counter punch in the second half. The player most impacted by the win should be freshman forward, Damontre Harris. Harris helped the Gamecocks get out to a huge lead in the first half with 8 points and stellar defense on the Gator big men. If he is able to continue this level of play, the team may actually have a chance against the more physical teams on the schedule (Tennessee).
