Big win for Coach Spurrier and crew! Holding UGA to 253 yards total offense, wow! We continue to have a balanced attack with 189 yards on the ground and 165 through the air. How about 9/14 on third down! Gotta get more pass rush the rest of the year.
Hopefully Va Tech going down to James Madison will take away some of the Boise State for National Champion talk. Tech could have its hands full next week with East Carolina. Former Texas Tech defensive coordinator Ruffin McNeill's Pirates have put up the points in their first two games.
The ACC looks like the High School League again. The four big schools all lost. FSU, Miami, and Ga Tech did go on the road against BCS foes, but they have to so they can up their strength of schedule. Duke, Maryland, and Virginia are dead weight. Good thing clempson drubbed North Springs Elementary to get the conference a win.
Tennessee was gashing #7 Oregon for 10 plus yards a carry in the first quarter and a half last night, which was suprising seeing they have 5 new offensive linemen. But, a young team is prone to mistakes and the Vols made them. Watch for them to stay with folks early in games and fade late due to lack of depth. Tough one versus Florida next week. I doubt the new coach, Derek Dooley, will count a close loss to the Gators as a win like Lane Kiffen did last season.
Vandy's offense looked horrible against a tough LSU D. LSU's offense looked mediocre against an average Vandy D. Les Miles is moving up the hot seat rankings.
Gameday is headed to Auburn for the clempson game next week. Starting RB, Mario Fannin, may be out for Auburn. If that is the case, freshman Michael Dyer would get the start. Future 1st round left tackle. Lee Ziemba, may also be out for a good while with a knee injury. Let's hope Auburn introduces the tiggers from clemmons to big boy football, like the Crimson Tide did a few years back.
