Let me just start by imploring the Braves to actually score some runs. These last two weeks of offensive ineptitude against the stinking Pirates and Nationals could seal the Braves fate. They missed the Wild Card last year because of their record against these two sorry teams.
clempsen will get introduced to Big Boy Football this week versus Auburn. In spite of the dramatic increase in competition, the tiggers could easily win this game. Why? It's the same reason Boise State can beat anyone and they same reason they shouldn't be in the National Championship talk. Anyone can get up for one big game and win if they have the talent. What separates the great teams is how they play on their down weeks. In the high school league, you get to play Maryland. In the SEC, you have a down week versus Arkansas, you lose.
Thank goodness we can finally stop talking about Weslye Saunders and focus on our 2-0 record. Sure, I'd love to have someone with his skillset, but if he did take multiple visits with agents and report it dishonestly to the NCAA, then he is better served off the team. No distractions!
Arkansas at Georgia is a big game this week. UGA should win, and I would always pull for a class act like Richt over Petrino, but another UGA loss would really help us in the East. Maybe I can convince myself to pull for UGA since Arkansas is ranked one slot ahead of us and Uncle Nathan loves UGA. Tough one to call.
Only going to devote one line to the Panthers. Ugh!
